One use of the word para in Spanish is to indicate purpose or intention - the reason or goal behind an action. It translates to 'in order to' or 'for the purpose of' in English. It is followed by an infinitive verb when expressing purpose. Note that para can also mean 'for' to indicate the recipient of an action - as in 'to do something for someone'. |
