The simple future tense - El futuro simple

The simple future tense in Spanish, known as futuro simple or futuro imperfecto, is used to talk about actions or events that will happen in the future.

It is equivalent to the English 'will' or 'shall'.

To form the simple future tense, you add specific endings to the infinitive form of regular verbs.

These endings are the same for all three types of verbs - -AR, -ER, -IR.

• tú add -ás

• él, ella & usted add -á

• nosotros & nosotras add -emos

• vosotros & vosotras add -éis

• ellos, ellas & ustedes add -án

Examples:
	comeré (I) will eat comer ⇒ (yo) comeré
	terminarás (you) will finish terminar ⇒ (tú) terminarás
	mirará (he) will watch mirar ⇒ (él) mirará
	venderemos (we) will sell vender ⇒ (nosotros) venderemos
	beberéis (you all) will drink beber ⇒ (vosotros) beberéis
	comprarán (they) will buy comprar ⇒ (ellos) comprarán
