The verb 'to carry' and 'to bring'

The verb 'to carry' in Russian is a verb of motion.

And as such, in addition to imperfective/perfective aspects, these verbs have unidirectional and multidirectional forms.

• нести / понести mean 'to carry (while going on foot)' and are unidirectional.

• носить / понести are the multidirectional counterparts

The verb носить can also mean 'to wear'.

Adding the prefix «при-» to these verbs changes the meaning to 'to bring (by foot)' or 'to deliver (by foot)'.

• приносить / принести mean 'to bring (by foot)' and are only unidirectional.

These verbs conjugate as expected. The only irregularity is the past tense of нести:

• Past tense of нести : нёс, несла, несло, несли

Examples:
	Я иду на работу и несу сумку. I am going to work and carrying a bag. нести (unidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (я) несу
	Вчера весь день я носил её сумку. Yesterday all day long I (male) was carrying her bag. носить (multidirectional, imperfective, past) ⇒ (я) носил
	На прошлой неделе я нёс сумку, когда увидел Ольгу. Last week I (male) was carrying a bag when I saw Olga. нести (unidirectional, imperfective, past) ⇒ (я) нёс
	Каждое утро она гуляет в парке и носит на руках свою дочь. Every morning she walks in the park and carries her daughter. носить (multidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (она) носит
	Родители несут детей на руках. Parents carry their children in their arms. носить (multidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (они) несут
	Почтальон принёс письмо в офис. The postman brought a letter to the office. принести (unidirectional, perfective past) ⇒ (он) принёс
	Зачем ты носишь этот молоток? Why are you (informal) carrying (around) that hammer? носить (multidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (ты) носишь
	Каждый день он носит тяжёлую сумку в школу. Every day he carries a heavy bag to school. носить (multidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (он) носит
	Я нёс мешок на плечах. I (male) was carrying the sack on my shoulders. нести (unidirectional, imperfective, past) ⇒ (я) нёс
	Куда ты несёшь эти инструменты? Where are you (informal) carrying those tools? нести (unidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (ты) несёшь
	Она хотела понести его всю дорогу на руках. She wanted to carry it all the way in her arms. понести (unidirectional, perfective second verb infinitive) ⇒ понести
	Мы принесли камни с реки. We brought the rocks from the river. принести (unidirectional, perfective past) ⇒ (мы) принесли
	Они хотят понести эти камни в сад. They want to take these rocks to the garden. понести (unidirectional, perfective second verb infinitive) ⇒ понести
	Куда ты несёшь эти яблоки? To where are you (informal) taking these apples? нести (unidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (ты) несёшь
	Пусть они несут сумки для вас. Let them carry the shopping bags for you (formal). нести (unidirectional, imperfective, present) ⇒ (они) несут
	Пожалуйста, не носите тяжелые вещи! Please do not carry (around) (formal) heavy things! носить (multidirectional, perfective imperative) ⇒ (не) носите
