The ordinal numbers (first, second, third etc.) are adjectives. The ordinal numbers 'first' and 'second' have special forms: • первый means 'first' • второй means 'second' From 3 onwards the ordinal numbers are more closely related to the cardinal numbers: • третий (third); четвёртый (fourth); пятый (fifth); шестой (sixth); седьмой (seventh); восьмой (eighth); девятый (ninth); десятый (tenth); одиннадцатый (eleventh); двенадцатый (twelfth) |
