The dative case for plural nouns is formed as follows: Starting with nominative singular: • Ends with a consonant ⇒ add «-ам» • Ends with «-й», «-ь» ⇒ replace with «-ям» • Ends with «-а», «-о» ⇒ replace with «-ам» • Ends with «-е» ⇒ replace with «-ям, but… • If ends with «-же», «-че», «-ше», «-ще» ⇒ replace the «-е» with «-ам» |
