Russian grammar - Adjectives - attributive or predicative |
Like in English the position of an adjective is a question of emphasis. • If the adjective appears before the noun ('attributive') it incidentally describes the noun. • If the adjective appears after the noun (and the verb 'to be') ('predicative') then it imparts new information about the noun. |
