Pattern: Noun + 을/를 위해(서); Verb stem + 기 위해(서) We previously saw the Verb ending (으)려고 which means 'with the intention of' or 'for the purpose of' or even 'to try to'. The pattern 위해서 has a similar meaning and can be attached to both a noun and verb: • Noun + 을/를 위해(서) • Verb stem + 기 위해(서) This pattern is used interchangeably with (으)려고 but it is ok to use 위해(서) with (으)세요 and (으)ㄹ까요? |
