French grammar - Plural nouns |

Most nouns in French form the plural by adding an -s. There are of course expectations which are covered in a coming topic. -- More often than not this -s is unpronounced unless there is liaison due to a following vowel. |

J'ai deux bouteilles.
I have two bottles.

As-tu trois sœurs ?
Do you (familiar) have three sisters?

Pourquoi avez-vous quatre voitures ?
Why do you (formal) have four cars?

Ils ont cinq chiens.
They have five dogs.

Elle a six chats.
She has six cats.

Sept pommes - c'est beaucoup !
Seven apples - that is a lot!

Huit cerises sont dans la boîte.
Eight cherries are in the box.

Pourquoi avons-nous neuf chaises ?
Why do we have nine chairs?

Est-ce possible - dix personnes dans une voiture ?
Is it possible - ten people in a car?
