Irregular past participles

There are a bunch of common verbs that have highly irregular past participles.

These include the following which are all covered the topic examples:

• faire ('to do') ⇒ fait

• dire ('to say') ⇒ dit

• erire ('to write') ⇒ écrit

• conduire ('to drive') ⇒ conduit

• venir ('to come') ⇒ venu

• tenir ('to hold') ⇒ tenu

• pouvoir ('to be able to') ⇒ pu

• vouloir ('to want') ⇒ voulu

• lire ('to read') ⇒ lu

• boire ('to drink') ⇒ bu

• savoir ('to know') ⇒ su

• courir ('to run') ⇒ couru

• croire ('to believe') ⇒ cru

• voir ('to see') ⇒ vu

Examples:
	Qu'est-ce que tu as fait ? What did you (familiar) do? faire (to do) ⇒ fait
	J'ai fait la vaisselle. I washed the dishes. vaisselle (f) means 'washing up' or 'dishes' faire la vaisselle (verb) means 'to do the dishes' or 'to wash up'
	Avez-vous déjà fait le ménage ? Have you (formal) ever cleaned?
	Nous avons fait des progrès. We have made progress.
	Le professeur de français a fait parler en français ses étudiants. The French teacher made his students speak French.
	T'es-tu fait couper les cheveux ? Did you (familiar) get your hair cut?
	Qu'est-ce que tu as leur dit ? What did you (familiar) say to them? dire (to say) ⇒ dit
	Je leur ai dit : « bonjour à tous ». I said, 'Hello everyone'.
	T'ont-ils dit la vérité ? Did they tell you (familiar) the truth?
	Qu'as-tu écrit ? What did you (familiar) write? ecrire (to write) ⇒ écrit
	J'ai écrit un texto à ma mère. I wrote a text to my mother.
	D'où as-tu conduit aujourd'hui ? Where did you (familiar) drive from today? conduire (to drive) ⇒ conduit
	Avez-vous déjà conduit un van ? Have you (formal) ever driven a van?
	Je lui ai tenu la main. I held his∆her hand. tenir (to hold, to keep) ⇒ tenu
	J'ai tenu compte de ce qu'il a dit. I took into account what he said. tenir compte de means 'to take into account', 'to take notice of'
	Vous n'avez pas tenu votre parole. You (formal) didn't keep your word.
	Ils m'ont tenu pour responsable. They held me responsible.
	Enfin, j'ai pu dormir. Finally I was able to sleep. pouvoir (to be able to) ⇒ pu
	As-tu pu comprendre tout ce qu'il a dit ? Were you (familiar) able to understand everything he said?
	J'ai voulu un croissant pour le petit-déjeuner. I wanted a croissant for breakfast. vouloir (to want) ⇒ voulu
	Elle a toujours voulu visiter Paris. She always wanted to visit Paris.
	Pierre a toujours voulu être astronaute. Pierre always wanted to be an astronaut.
	J'ai lu un livre sur Napoléon. I read a book on Napoleon. lire (to read) ⇒ lu
	Vous avez lu le rapport, n'est-ce pas ? You (formal) read the report, right? rapport (m) means 'report' or 'connection'
	Il a bu trois verres de vin d'un coup. He drank three glasses of wine (all) at once. boire (to drink) ⇒ bu
	Ils ont bu toute la soirée. They drank all evening.
	J'ai couru pour arriver à l'heure. I ran to arrive on time. courir (to run) ⇒ couru
	Chloë a couru dans les bras de Laurent. Chloë ran into the arm of Laurent.
	Malheureusement, il a cru le gouvernement. Unfortunately, he believed the government. croire (to believe) ⇒ cru
	Il n'en a pas cru ses yeux. He didn't believe his eyes. The pronoun en refers to that thing that can't be believed. This will be explained in a letter topic.
	Je l'ai cru sur parole. I took him at his word.
	Hier, Léa et Manon ont vu un petit tigre au zoo. Yesterday, Lea and Manon saw a little tiger at the zoo. voir (to see) ⇒ vu
	Il veut voir ce qu'il a vu. He wants to see what he saw.
	Est-ce que vous avez vu le grand panneau ? Did you (formal) see the big sign?
	Nous avons déjà vu ce film. We have already seen this film.
	Finalement, tu as su la vérité. Finally, you (familiar) knew the truth. savoir (to know) ⇒ su
	Nous avons su quoi faire ensuite. We knew what to do next.
	De quelle manière l'avez-vous su ? How did you (formal) find out?
