To ask 'how' to do something or 'how' something happens in Chinese, we use 怎么 (zěnme). It can also be used to ask why something is the case, often conveying a sense of surprise or confusion, like 'How can it be that…?' It can also be used to ask about the reason for a condition or state of something. Like 'how come?'. And finally, it can also be used to ask about something is done, or method. Like 'In what way?'. |
