In Chinese, to express some time period 'ago', we use the structure: [time period] + 前 (qián). |
Examples: | |
我一年前开始学中文。
wǒ yī nián qián kāishǐ xué zhōngwén. I started learning Chinese a year ago.

她两年前搬到了北京。
tā liǎng nián qián bāndào le běijīng. She moved to Beijing two years ago.

他们三个月前买了房子。
tāmen sān ge yuè qián mǎi le fángzi. They bought a house three months ago. |

我一个小时前吃了午饭。
wǒ yī ge xiǎoshí qián chī le wǔfàn. I had lunch an hour ago. |

tā sān tiān qián mǎi le yī liàng chē. She bought a car three days ago. |

wǒmen bàn nián qián kāishǐ gōngzuò. We started working half a year ago.
