Korean grammar - To do something for someone - 아/어 주다

To do something for someone - 아/어 주다

Pattern: Verb stem + / 주다

The pattern Verb stem + / 주다 is used to express that an action is being done by someone for someone else.

The direct object (to whom or for whom) should use the dative particle 에게 (to a person).

By using 주다 (to give) the implication of this pattern is that something is being done for someone, although not always explicitly.
