The Imperative - (으)세요

Pattern: Verb stem + (으)세요

Giving instructions, orders or asking some to do something required the imperative form.

The imperative verb form in Korean is straightforward: add (으)세요 to the verb stem.

-- Add the 으 if the verb stem ends in a consonant.

Examples:
자리에 앉으세요.
Take a seat.

앉다 ⇒ 앉으세요

교실에서 조용히 하세요.
Be quiet in the classroom.

하다 ⇒ 하세요

일어나세요.
Wake up.

일어나다 ⇒ 일어나세요
