As, based on, in the manner of - 대로

Pattern: Noun + 대로; Verb stem + ㄴ/는 대로

In additional to meaning 'as soon as', the particle 대로 can also be used to mean 'as', 'based on' or 'in the manner or way of'.

It can be attached to a noun (-대로) or to a Verb stem (-ㄴ/는 대로).

Examples:
	제가 하는 대로 따라하세요. Imitate the way I do (it).
	선생님께서 말씀하신 대로 했어요. (I) did (it) the way the teacher told me. 신 = 시 (the honorific infix) + ㄴ
	예상대로 우리 팀이 이겼어요. As per expectations, our team won.
	여기에 있는 음식은 마음대로 모두 먹어도 돼요. Whatever food is here - (you) can eat whatever you desire.
	내일은 편한 대로 옷을 입어도 돼요. Tomorrow (you) can wear whatever (you) feel comfortable in.
	앵무새는 사람이 말하는 대로 따라할 수 있어요. Parrots can imitate what people say. 앵무새 means 'parrot' 따라하다 means 'to imitate' or 'to copy'
	요리책에 쓰여 있는 대로 했더니 음식이 맛있게 됐어요. (I) did what is written in the cookbook and the food turned out to be delicious.
	선생님이 발음하는 대로 따라해 보세요. Copy the teacher's pronunciation.
	선생님이 기타를 치는 대로 따라 쳐 보세요. Try to play along in the way that the teacher plays the guitar.
	노래 가사를 들은 대로 써 보세요. Write down the lyrics of a song as (you) hear (them).
	계획대로 일이 잘 진행되어 기분이 좋았다. (I) felt good that things went well as planned.
	제 마음대로 일을 처리하다가 일을 망치고 말았다. (I) was doing things my way, and (I) messed things up. 마음대로 means 'as per (my) feelings' or 'in (my) way' 망치다 means 'to mess up' or 'to spoil'
	그 영화는 제가 예상한 대로 재미있었어요. The movie was fun, as (I) expected. 예상하다 means 'to expect' or 'to anticipate'
	짐작했던 대로 우리 회사는 저를 승진시키지 않을 거예요. As (I) guessed, our company won't promote me. Recall that V+던 is used to recall past actions 승진시키다 means 'to promote'
	오든지 말든지 마음대로 해요. Come or not, do as you please. 마음대로 하다 means 'to do as one feels like'
	집에서 놀든지 밖에 나가든지 하고 싶은 대로 하세요. Do whatever you want do - be it either playing at home or going out.
	이 책들을 순서대로 정리하세요. Arrange these books in order.
	내일의 회의는 계획대로 할 거예요. Tomorrow's meeting will go as per the plan. 계획 means 'plan'
	부모는 보무대로 아이는 아이대로 생각이 다를 수 있어요. Parents (thinking) as parent amd children (thinking) as children may have different thoughts (opinions).
	입고 싶은 옷을 마음대로 사세요. Buy the clothes you want to wear.
	이대로 쓰세요. Write it like this.
	사용한 후에 그대로 두세요. Leave it on after use.
	이 상황을 그대로 그냥 인정하세요. Just accept this situation as it is.
	그 소설은 제 예상한 대로 슬펐어요. The novel was sad, as I expected.
	제가 들은 대로 이 나라의 사과는 아주 맛있어요. As I have heard, apples in this country are very delicious.
	요리법에 쓰인 대로 쿠키를 만드세요. Make cookies as written in the recipe.
	아는 대로 말해 주세요. Please tell (it) me as you know (it). Or 'Please tell me what you know'
