Pattern: Verb stem + (으)ㄹ 뻔했다 The Verb ending (으)ㄹ 뻔했다 is used to express that something almost happening. The particle 거의 (almost) can also be used in the same way. And indeed may be used in conjunction with (으)ㄹ 뻔했다. The adverb 하마터면 (almost, nearly) is commonly used in combination with this pattern for emphasis. |
