Relative pronouns auquel, auxquels & auxquelles

When the verb takes the preposition à then we use the relative pronouns à quel, auxquels & auxquelles.

Note that feminine singular à quelle does NOT exist - instead à laquelle is used.

Examples:
	Le parti politique auquel nous avions adhéré est sur le point de se scinder. The political party that we joined is about to split. adhérer à (verb) means 'to join' or 'to follow' or 'to adhere to'
	Les passe-temps auxquels je m'intéresse sont des activités solitaires. The hobbies that I am interested in are solitary pursuits. s'intéresser à (verb) means 'to be interested in'
	Le petit chien, auquel tu as fait peur, s'est caché sous la table. The little dog, of which you (familiar) scared, hid under the table. faire peur à (verb) means 'to be fearful of' or 'to fear (something)'
	Les activités sportives auxquelles il s'adonne sont très dangereuses. The sports activities that he engages in are very dangerous. s'adonner à (verb) means 'to engage in'
	Les tâches auxquelles elle a consacré sa vie sont futiles. The tasks to which she devoted her life are futile. consacrer à (verb) means 'to devote (something) to'
	Cette ambiance à laquelle je ne pouvais m'habituer n'existe plus. This atmosphere that I could not get used to no longer exists. s'habituer à (verb) means 'to get used to' Note that feminine singular à quelle does NOT exist - instead à laquelle is used
	La discipline à laquelle elle s'intéresse est exigeante. The discipline in which she is interested is demanding. s'intéresser à (verb) means 'to be interested in' Note that feminine singular à quelle does NOT exist - instead à laquelle is used
	Ce problème, auquel je réfléchis, me rend fou ! This problem, which I am thinking about, is driving me crazy! réfléchir à (verb) means 'to think about' or 'to reflect on'
	Toutes les filles, auxquelles tu mentais, sont furieuses. All the girls who you (familiar) lied to are furious. mentir à (verb) means 'to lie to'
	Mes amis, auxquels j'écris régulièrement, ne répondent plus. My friends, to whom I write regularly, don't respond anymore. ecrire à (verb) means 'to write to'
	Le prix auquel vous souhaitez vendre votre maison est trop élevé. The price at which you (formal) want to sell your house is too high. vendre à un prix (verb) 'to sell at a price'
	C'est un projet auquel tous les ouvriers doivent participer. It is a project in which all workers must participate. participer à (verb) means 'to participate in'
	L'actrice à laquelle elle ressemble est canadienne. The actress who she resembles is Canadian. ressemble à (verb) means 'to look like' or 'to resemble'
	La réunion à laquelle j'avais besoin d'assister a été reportée. The meeting that I needed to attend has been postponed. assister à (verb) means 'to attend (a meeting)' reporter means 'to reschedule'
	La voiture à laquelle je songe. The car that I am considering. songe à (verb) means 'to consider' or 'to think about'
	La réunion à laquelle nous nous étions préparés a été annulée. The meeting that we had been preparing for was cancelled. preparer à (verb) means 'to prepare for'
	La décision à laquelle il s'est plié le rend malheureux. The decision that he has submitted to makes him unhappy. se plier à means 'to submit to'
	C'est une situation à laquelle il faut s'habituer. It's a situation that (you) have to get used to. s'habituer à (verb) means 'to get used to'
	Le roi auquel le prince a succédé ne voulait pas qu'il devienne roi. The king who the prince succeeded did not want him to become king. succéder à (verb) means 'to succeed (someome)'
	Je ne me souviens plus du nom du livre auquel ton histoire me fait penser. I can't remember the name of the book that your (familiar) story reminds me of. faire penser à (verb) means 'to be reminded of'
