The Chinese verb 知道 (zhīdào) means 'to know'. It is used to express knowledge or awareness of facts, information, or situations. Unlike the English 'to know', 知道 is typically used for knowing information rather than for knowing people or places. 认识 (rènshi) is used in these cases - covered in the next topic. |
