Chinese grammar - Talking About Days of the Week |
In Chinese, the days of the weeks are referred to by numbers after the word 星期 (xīngqī). So Monday is 'day of the week 1': 星期一 (xīngqī yī). However, in addition to 星期七 (xīngqī qī), Sunday is commonly referred to as 星期日 (xīngqī rì) or 星期天 (xīngqī tiān). We ask for the day of the week using 星期几?(xīngqī jǐ). |
