The Chinese particle 第 (dì) is used to form ordinal numbers. — The ordinal numbers are 'first', 'second', 'third', etc. To form an ordinal number in Chinese, simply put 第 before the number. |

jīntiān shì wǒ zài zhōngguó de dì yī tiān. Today is my first day in China.
