Adverbs that express frequency of action or state are placed before the verb. Here are a few common Chinese frequency adverbs: • We have already seen 常常 (chángcháng) means 'often' • 总是 (zǒngshì) means 'always' • 通常 (tōngcháng) means 'usually' • 有时候 (yǒushíhou) means 'sometimes' • 很少 (hěnshǎo) means 'rarely' • 从不 (cóngbù) means 'never' • 几乎不 (jīhū bù) means 'hardly ever' |
